“The Fire Sermon (Redux)”
I was raised on scripture
and soot.
Told that fire meant punishment.
Told that hell had heat.
But I have seen
revolution spark
from a match
held in shaking hands.
So, I offer this sermon:
not from a pulpit,
but from a barricade—
bless the riotous,
for they shall inherit the flame.
This world will not be saved
by water.
Take cover,

P.S. For the ones still listening…
I was not born to bow.
I was born to blister.
To take the silence
and strike it like flint.
